The Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Legislative Matters, Sooko Oladotun Hassan, has met with members of the Osun State House of Assembly from the Ife Zone as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the executive and legislative arms of government.
The meeting, held on Monday, September 21, 2026, included the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly and member representing Ife North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Akinyode Abidemi Oyewusi, as well as other lawmakers from Ife and neighbouring constituencies.
Those in attendance included Hon. Adekunle Oladimeji of Orolu/Irepodun Constituency, Hon. Kasope Abolarin of Ifedayo Constituency, Hon. Abiola Awoyeye of Ife Central Constituency, Hon. Lawrence Adeoti of Ife South Constituency, Hon. Olumide Fatunmise of Ife East Constituency, Hon. Oladiran Olatunbosun of Ilesa East Constituency and Hon. Abiola Ibrahim of Irewole/Isokan Constituency.
Discussions at the meeting centred on closer collaboration between the executive and legislature, particularly on initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and delivering development projects in Ile-Ife and other parts of Osun State.
The participants also reviewed government policies and grassroots interventions, while discussing ways of sustaining legislative cooperation with the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Hassan commended the lawmakers for their commitment to their constituencies and pledged to maintain regular engagement with the Assembly to facilitate effective implementation of government programmes across the state.
The Deputy Speaker and other lawmakers, in turn, acknowledged the Adeleke administration’s projects in Ife land and other parts of Osun State. They specifically cited the Lagere Flyover Bridge and other ongoing infrastructure projects as examples of the government’s interventions in the state.
The lawmakers assured the governor of their continued legislative support while stressing the importance of collaboration among the different arms of government in delivering development to the people.
Hassan also commended Governor Adeleke for his support for the growth of arts, culture and tourism in Osun State.
He extended his goodwill to the people of Ile-Ife and wished the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, and the people of the ancient city a successful and memorable Olojo Festival.
