Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has said former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar would lose again to the ruling party in the 2027 presidential election.
Bwala was responding to comments made by Abubakar during an appearance on Arise TV, where the former vice-president declared that the 2027 poll would be his final attempt at the presidency.
Abubakar also expressed confidence in a growing opposition coalition within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), saying any candidate backed by the alliance would defeat Tinubu.
Reacting, Bwala said it was likely Abubakar would emerge as the ADC’s presidential candidate but insisted that the outcome would mirror the 2023 election.
According to him, Tinubu would secure another victory despite the opposition’s efforts, noting that Abubakar had previously contested with the backing of governors and established political structures but still fell short.
